This policy sets out to outline the way in which NMRN processes the data it collects. This policy will be amended from time to time and you should regularly check this page to ensure you are still happy.

We cannot be held responsible for the privacy policies of third party websites and we advise users to read the privacy policies of other websites before registering any personal data.
6. Sending us an Email
You also may decide to send us personally identifying information, for example, in an electronic mail message containing a question or comment, or by filling out a Web form that provides us this information. We use personally identifying information from email primarily to respond to your requests. We may forward your email to other staff members who are better able to answer your questions.

8. Children and Privacy¨
For those who are under 16, we cannot accept your details through our online registration form. If you are aged 13-16 and wish to volunteer, please email volunteering@nmrn.org.uk for our alternative route. If anyone under 16 is found registered online, their details shall be deleted.
9. Opt-Out or Change Your Contact Information
You may opt out of receiving any correspondence other than what is needed to administer the platform at any time by logging in to your account and editing your email preferences to None.
Your Marketing Permissions
The NMRN always acts upon your choices around what type of communications you want to receive and how you want to receive them. However there are some communications that need to happen regardless of your marketing preferences. These are what we would describe as essential communications to fulfil our promises to you as a volunteer or services from the NMRN. An example of this type of communication would be:
- Email confirmation of signing up to the DIVE system
- Administrative and Policy information and updates
Whenever we send you a communication that we deem as essential, it will not contain a direct marketing ask such as sending you new challenges weekly, so that we respect what you have told us on that subject.
10. Disposal of personal data
NMRN are committed to safely and securely disposing personal data through the use of shredding and confidential waste collection, and the deleting of inactive data from the digital platform and its servers in line with time frames that are set out through the General Data Protection Regulations 2018.
